LOT 2: Original artwork by Michelle Pearson Cooper
The winner of this lot will receive an original oil painting entitled ‘Serval Alert!’ by artist Michelle Pearson Cooper who, with her husband Justin Cadbury, has a home in South Africa. This wonderful painting of the African serval is framed and mounted on a 13 x 20 inch panel and is worth £3,200. This particular serval was rescued and looked after by a sanctuary called Tenikwa in South Africa, which allowed Michelle to spend time observing it before its return to the wild.
Michelle Pearson Cooper studied art on a rarely awarded Art Scholarship at Millfield, and in Florence under Signorina Simi, who lists Pietro Annigoni as one of her pupils. Michelle has held 11 solo exhibitions in London, Palm Beach, Marrakech and Dubai, and collectors of her work include HRH The King of Bahrain, Bruce Oldfield, Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan, Mahdi Al Tajir and Tom Stoppard.
