New Protected Area in Cameroon

Through the hard work and determination of Louis Nkembi and his team at the Environmental and Rural Development Foundation (ERuDef), the Prime Minister of Cameroon has finally signed the Decree to officially create the Tofala Hill Wildlife Sanctuary in south-west Cameroon. This is the third protected area designated for the protection of cross-river gorillas, after Kagwene Gorilla Sanctuary and Takamanda National Park; a great success for the species, which is the most critically endangered of all African primates with just 300 remaining in the wild.
