TRANSFORMING GLOBAL AMBITION INTO GRASSROOTS ACTION

Whitley Fund for Nature is a UK charity. We have channelled £20 million to 200 conservation leaders in 80 countries across the Global South, benefiting wildlife, landscapes and people.

Join us for the 2024 Whitley Awards

On Wednesday 1st May, 7.30pm BST, we will announce and celebrate the winners of the 2024 Whitley Awards at a ceremony in London, hosted by WFN Ambassadors Tom Heap and Kate Humble and attended by the charity’s Patron, HRH The Princess Royal.

Sir David Attenborough narrates this new film about Shivani Bhalla, winner of the 2023 Whitley Gold Award.

WFN's top prize is awarded annually to a Whitley Award alumnus who has also received Continuation Funding. This laddered support allows successful conservation solutions to be scaled up; Shivani is a Kenyan conservationist whose work with her team of Samburu warriors, elders and women has helped the local lion population rise to a 15-year high.
