Continuation Funding is made available to previous Whitley Award Winners who have proven themselves to be truly exceptional. In this way, we enable the continued growth of projects where outstanding contributions to conservation are being made and creating lasting impact.
Continuation Funding in Summer 2012 has been awarded to:
Cagan Sekercioglu– Establishing Turkey’s first wildlife corridor: £60,000 over two years.
Pablo Borboroglu– Scale up of the Global Penguin Society, Argentina, Ecuador, Namibia, south Africa: £60,000 over two years.
M.D. Madhusudan– Strengthening and supporting Protected Areas in India’s Western Ghats: £30,000 over one year.
Suprabha Seshan– Strengthening of the Gurukula Botanical Sanctuary, Western Ghats, India: £30,000 over one year.
Shafqat Hussein– Snow leopard conservation in Northern Pakistan: £30,000 over one year.
Winner of the 2012 WFN/WWF Challenge Grant:
Dami Buchori– Community-led management of Bukit Baka Bukit Raya National Park, Kalimantan: £27,000
