National Geographic Kids magazine‘s Peter Johnson has raised over £1,000 for Whitley fund for Nature after kayaking 100 miles down the River Thames with his dedicated team!
Pete was inspired to raise money for conservation after attending this year’s Whitley Award Ceremony and learning about the work of our amazing winners. The team took 5 days to complete the route from Oxford to London, paddling for 9 hours a day and camping out overnight. A fantastic effort!
We would like to say a huge thank you to the kayak team, who despite the hot weather, were all smiles when they crossed the finish line, and of course to everyone who has donated so far.
