WFN's 2nd in-country alumni training week reaches Latin America
As part of WFN’s Winner Network Development programme, in August 2023, we held our second in-person Regional Winner Training, this time taking place at IPÊ in Brazil.
The training week gave 13 past winners the chance to meet other experienced conservation leaders from the same region. By fostering a supportive network of Whitley Award recipients, we hope to maximise the conservation impact of individuals at this critical moment in the battle to save biodiversity.
We are incredibly grateful to Hempel Foundation for supporting this programme. Thank you to Suzana & Claudio Padua (1999 Whitley Award winner) for hosting the training at their NGO, IPÊ, and for guiding some of the learning sessions.
