We regret to share that in light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we have made the unprecedented decision to postpone the Whitley Awards Ceremony and related events until this autumn. Please read more here.
Our annual Whitley Awards Ceremony announces and celebrates our Whitley Award winners – grassroots conservation leaders who are taking action to protect our natural world in their home countries with community support. Whitley Awards are won competitively following assessment by an expert academic panel and are worth £40,000 in project funding over one year.
We will still be announcing our 2020 Whitley Award winners and Gold Award winner online on the 29th April. Please stay tuned for exciting digital content to be released about these inspiring conservationists and their important work!
Our annual Whitley Awards Ceremony is our flagship event, and is a moment to amplify our call for action to protect the wildlife and wild places upon which we all rely. Should the situation allow we look forward to welcoming the new Award winners to the UK in late 2020 to celebrate their achievements with you, and to provide them with the training and networking opportunities that form an integral part of receiving a Whitley Award. We will be posting further updates in due course.
