Our flagship Whitley Awards are given to inspiring conservationists leading local projects to benefit wildlife, landscapes and people. Following a global search and assessment by an expert Judging Panel, we will announce and celebrate the winners of the 2023 Whitley Awards at a ceremony in London, hosted by WFN Ambassadors Tom Heap and Kate Humble livestreamed to YouTube on Wednesday 26 April from 8pm BST.

This year, we are also celebrating Whitley Fund for Nature’s 30th Anniversary. This is a chance for us to reflect on the successes that we have collectively achieved through 30 years of partnerships with our global network of winners, and with all of our donors and supporters.

OUR PARTNERS FOR PLANET MATCH FUND

We are thrilled to have secured match funding for donations to WFN around the 2023 Whitley Awards Ceremony.

WFN Ambassador Lord Robin Russell, The Britta and Jeremy Lloyd Charitable Trust and The Sarah and Patrick Wills Foundation have generously agreed to match every penny donated up to £80,000, enabling us to collectively raise £160,000 in support of locally-led solutions to global biodiversity and climate crises.

If you have already donated since the beginning of March when we announced details of our 2023 Awards Ceremony, your money has now been doubled: thank you! If you haven’t donated yet and could help us make the most of this opportunity, we would love to hear from you.

“We need the work of Whitley Award winners to succeed and to help them to whatever extent possible.” WFN Trustee, Sir David Attenborough

As we look ahead to the next 30 years, we know that it is only together that we can tackle the challenges that our planet faces.

Thank you for being our #PartnersForPlanet.
