The 2013 Whitley Awards Ceremony – the 20th anniversary of these awards – was held on the 2nd of May at The Royal Geographical Society in London. The Ceremony was hosted by Kate Humble with the Whitley Awards presented to the winners by WFN Patron, HRH The Princess Royal.

Zafer Zizilkaya – Winner of the 2013 Whitley Award donated by The William Brake Charitable Trust
Ekwoge Abwe – Winner of the 2013 Whitley Award donated by Fondation Segré
Zahirul Islam – Winner of the 2013 Whitley Award donated by The Scottish Friends of the Whitley Fund for Nature
Aparajita Datta – Winner of the 2013 Whitley Award donated by WWF-UK
Daniel Letoiye – Winner of the 2013 Whitley Award donated The LJC Fund in memory of Anthea and Lindsey Turner
Eugene Simonov – Winner of the 2013 Whitley Award donated by The Shears Foundation
John Kahekwa – Winner of the Whitley Award donated by Goldman Sachs
