On Wednesday 27 April we will announce the 2022 Whitley Award winners live from London at a ceremony hosted by WFN Ambassadors Tom Heap and Kate Humble (by invitation only), and hope the international WFN family can tune into our livestream from around the world at 8pm BST.
Whitley Awards are world-leading prizes for wildlife conservation.
They recognise grassroots leaders from the Global South who are bringing communities together to save species from extinction, restore ecosystems, and benefit local people.
After a global search, an expert Judging Panel has selected a shortlist of 15.
Each of us, wherever we live, can take action for conservation; WFN brings changemakers together, so that our collective impact is global.
Every donation made to WFN before the 2022 Whitley Awards will be doubled, as part of Our Local Planet Match Fund, thanks to WFN Ambassador Lord Robin Russell and Lord James Russell.
