Continuation Funding 2019

Now accepting Continuation Funding applications from Whitley alumni

WFN enables Whitley Award winners to expand their successful work, reach higher and bring about lasting change through our Continuation Funding programme. Applications are open to previous Whitley Award winners only, and grants are worth up to £70,000 over two years. Often winners go on to become some of the most influential conservationists in their field, making a difference at both the grassroots and political level.

Over the past 10 years, 70% of WFN’s annual grant giving has been distributed through Continuation Funding, enabling the growth of high-impact projects. Last year, a total of £590,000 was awarded to our 2018 Continuation Funding winners.

This year, due to the fundraising success of our 25th Anniversary and the generous support of our donors, we’re closer than ever to meeting demand from our winners for Continuation Funding. We’ll announce this year’s winners in Autumn 2019 – stay tuned.

To check your eligibility and to find out how to apply, please visit our Continuation Funding page.

We’re extremely grateful to the donors who have chosen to give exclusively to our Continuation Funding programme. Our winners tell us the ability to re-apply for funds when they need them is a vital source of support.
