Are you a conservationist leading an inspiring project in your home country? You could be among the next Whitley Award winners!
We’ve begun the search for our next cohort of Whitley Award winners. Every year, we present our flagship Whitley Award prizes to six effective, mid-career conservation leaders who are working across the Global South and poised for scale up.
These coveted prizes provide project funding to support community-based projects that are using the latest available science to benefit wildlife, people and climate.
We also provide winners with training; peer-to-peer support through our network of over 220 alumni, representing some of the best conservation projects in the world; and eligibility for further funding offered as long-term, laddered support.
“Winning the Whitley Award was a celebration of my conservation journey and of conservation in general. More importantly, the funding it provides is very essential to the future of my project.” Rachel Ashegbofe Ikemeh, 2020 Whitley Award winner
Whitley Awards are won competitively following a global search and assessment by an expert panel and are presented by WFN Patron, HRH the Princess Royal, at an annual Ceremony in London, which opens the door to international recognition of winners’ work, amplified through PR support.
